Living on an island surrounded by sea is amazing but we need to be aware of the dangers that come with being in and on the sea. In this Maritime Safety Series, Hannah Shellswell will be talking with Fleur Moisin and Andrew Letto from the Jersey Coastguard. Another will see celebrated local swimmer, Sally Minty-Gravett MBE who will be sharing her wisdom and advice for those thinking of taking up the challenges of sea swimming, which has become increasingly popular for many islanders during recent months. The third Podcast will feature Margaret Jeffery, who will be appearing alongside Stephanie Trotter OBE, President and Director of UK charity CO-Gas Safety, on the dangers of carbon monoxide. Tragically, Margaret’s husband Ken died of carbon monoxide poisoning on board his boat in Jersey in February 2017, and since then she has been campaigning to raise awareness of the dangers.
